Is Britizen affiliated with the UK Home Office?
No. Britizen is an independent reference site. We're not affiliated with the Home Office, the Stationery Office, or any UK government body. Our content is based on the publicly available official handbook and gov.uk guidance.
Are the practice test questions the same as the real test?
The real test pulls from a secret question bank that the Home Office doesn't publish. Our practice questions are based on the same source material (the official 3rd-edition handbook) and use the same format (24 questions, 45 minutes, 18/24 pass mark). They're an excellent training tool but they aren't the literal exam questions.
When is the mobile app coming?
iOS app with offline practice tests + chapter explainers + flashcards is in development. We'll announce the launch via the email list on the homepage if you want first dibs.
Can Britizen help with my specific immigration case?
Sorry, no — we provide general reference information, not legal advice. If your case is complex (overstays, refusals, gaps in residence, criminal record, etc.), you should consult a regulated UK immigration solicitor. We can't recommend specific solicitors but the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) has a register of regulated advisers.
Do you sell my email or data?
No. Full details in our Privacy Policy. Short version: we do not sell, share, or trade personal information with third parties. Email subscribers get app-launch and content-update notifications, nothing else.
